I’d taken a photograph of the lights from The White Cross bleeding into the Thames last Sunday, but it was a bit too dark. I thought I'd try again this week, earlier in the evening and capture more of the colour and detail. The effect tonight is more of a impressionist painting with the multi-coloured smudges of colour splattered into the Thames. It’s still a tiny bit late, the picture is a little noisy and a plane on its final descent into Heathrow looks like a very curious UFO in the sky. But the sky definitely looks much more interesting than just pure black.
