Day 1: Let there be (pink) light!

For some reason, I feel nothing says Happy New Year like a colour changing snowball cycling through its pink phase. It does red, green, blue, yellow and turquoise too but if I can't have a white snowball (which, being a purist, would be my preference), pink would be my second choice.

The ball itself is made of a myriad of plastic discs which adds a nice sparkly effect to the light and gives me the opportunity to play around with some soft focus ICM. It's also surprisingly squashy to the touch. Originally I purchased one for myself as a slight nod to festive decoration, but then decided to buy ten more to give as presents. Well who wouldn't appreciate the gift of light?
