Pétanque, snails and sunset

The heat of the day has us leaving the Carmargue wildlife in search of refreshments. After we park the car we espy a group of men indulging in a leisurely game of Pétanque in the blazing sunshine. This seems a perfect chance for some people watching before the lure of ice cream has us exploring the little town.

We return with our chilly cones and I discover that it's really difficult to eat ice cream and photograph at the same time.

Suitably sated we hit the road again and meander around fields feasting our eyes on abandoned tractors, disintegrating cottages, waving fronds of grass, hoards of baby snails happily basking in the sun's dying rays and then the glorious sunset.
